Colorado Landscape & Yard Waste Dumpster Rental

Humpty Dump Roll-Offs & Dumpsters provides yard waste and landscape debris dumpster rentals across the Greater Denver area for seasonal yard cleanups, tree limb and brush removal, landscape renovations, wood debris from deck and fence teardowns, and storm damage cleanup. Our residential fleet of 10, 15, 20, and 30 yard containers starts at $350/week, depending on the size.

What Is a Yard Waste Dumpster Rental?

A yard waste dumpster rental is a roll-off container homeowners use for high-volume landscape debris such as brush, branches, leaves, wood from deck or fence teardowns, and general yard cleanup material that exceeds what your residential trash service can accommodate. We deliver the container, you fill it at your pace during the rental period, and we haul it away. For most landscape projects, a roll-off is the most efficient disposal option and eliminates taking multiple trips to a compost or dump facility.

Common Landscape & Yard Waste Projects

Humpty Dump supports five common landscape project types across the Greater Denver area.

Seasonal Yard Cleanups

Spring and fall yard cleanups are the two peak times Denver homeowners rent a landscape dumpster. Spring cleanups typically include winter storm debris, dead branches, matted leaves, and dormant plant material. Fall cleanups focus on leaves, spent annuals, and end-of-season plant removal.

A 10 or 15 yard is usually enough for a standard suburban lot for both spring and fall projects. We recommend booking early during peak season, as availability tightens in April/May and September/October. Please keep in mind, if you are getting rid of dirt, sod, rock, or concrete these materials can only go in our 12 yard heavy-duty dumpsters.

Tree Limb & Brush Removal

Tree limb and brush removal from a single storm-damaged tree, ongoing property maintenance, or clearing before a landscape project typically requires a 10 or 15 yard residential dumpster. Large tree removal projects with multiple trees, stumps, or significant limb volume may need a 20 or 30 yard.

Long branches should be cut to fit within the container walls for safe hauling and no branches can be sticking above the fill line. Please keep in mind, if you are getting rid of dirt, sod, rock, or concrete, these materials can only go in our 12 yard dumpsters.

Landscape Renovation & Sod Removal

Landscape renovations such as replacing sod, tearing out old flowerbeds, removing overgrown shrubs, or rebuilding retaining wall areas can vary widely in debris volume. Light landscape renovations typically require a 10 or 15 yard while larger overhauls typically need a 20 yard.

Heavy landscape debris such as dirt, rock, or sod loads must go in our 12 yard dumpsters, which are designed specifically for these materials.  For projects including heavy materials, please call 1-844-HUMPTYD to discuss what would be best for your project.

Deck, Fence & Wood Debris Removal

A single fence section or a small deck usually fits in a 10 or 15 yard, while a full deck teardown or long fence replacement typically needs a 20 yard. All wood debris is accepted, including pressure-treated lumber, composite decking, and old fence panels with hardware attached. Please keep in mind, if you are getting rid of dirt, sod, rock, or concrete, these materials can only go in our 12 yard dumpsters.

Storm Damage Cleanup

Denver storm damage cleanup from summer hail, downed trees, or severe wind events typically require immediate attention. Most storm cleanups fit in a 15 or 20 yard residential dumpster, and Humpty Dump offers same-day or next-day delivery for storm response when fleet availability allows. Please keep in mind, if you are getting rid of dirt, sod, rock, or concrete, these materials can only go in our 12 yard dumpsters.

How Much Does a Landscape Dumpster Rental Cost in Denver?

Humpty Dump’s residential landscape dumpster rentals in the Greater Denver area cost between $350 and $425 per week. The 10 yard is $350, the 15 yard $375, the 20 yard $400, and the 30 yard $425. All rates include delivery, pickup, environmental fees, and disposal up to the included tonnage, which is 2 tons for the 10 and 15 yard, and 3 tons for the 20 and 30 yard. Overage runs $80/ton up to 10 tons and $150/ton above that threshold.

For projects with heavy landscape debris such as significant sod, dirt, or rock volume, a 12 yard heavy-duty dumpster is required. These containers cost $425/week and include 3 tons of debris capacity. Call 1-844-HUMPTYD if you have any questions.

What Yard Waste Can & Can’t Go in the Dumpster

Residential landscape dumpsters accept most yard waste and landscape debris, including brush, branches, leaves, grass clippings, plant material, mulch, pressure-treated lumber, composite decking, and fence panels. Prohibited items include hazardous waste, chemicals, pesticides, propane tanks, and any material with fluid contamination such as used motor oil from lawn equipment or gasoline.

Heavy materials such as sod, dirt, rock, or concrete are not accepted in standard residential containers because they exceed hauling weight limits. Heavy-debris landscape jobs require a 12 yard heavy-duty dumpster, which costs $425 per week and includes 3 tons of debris capacity. Call 1-844-HUMPTYD for more information.

Frequently Asked Questions About Yard Waste Dumpster Rentals

Can I put grass clippings and leaves in a dumpster?

Yes, grass clippings, leaves, brush, branches, and general yard waste are accepted in Humpty Dump residential dumpsters. For high-volume seasonal cleanups on large properties or mature tree lots, a 15 or 20 yard is usually the right size to capture everything in a single rental.

Can I put tree stumps in a landscape dumpster?

Yes, tree stumps are accepted, but weight can add up quickly. As long as the landscaping debris fits in the dumpster and doesn’t exceed the weight threshold, Humpty Dump can haul it away. To discuss your project in detail, contact us at 1-844-HUMPTYD.

Can I put sod and dirt in a yard waste dumpster?

Projects that involve significant sod, dirt, or rock removal, such as an entire lawn replacement, a large landscape excavation, or a hardscape teardown, can only go in our 12 yard heavy-duty dumpster.

Can I put fence panels and deck wood in a dumpster?

Yes, fence panels, deck boards, pressure-treated lumber, and composite decking are all accepted in a residential dumpster. Long fence sections and full deck boards should be cut to fit within the container walls.

How soon can I get a landscape dumpster delivered?

Same-day and next-day delivery is often available for Denver-area landscape rentals, depending on availability. During peak spring (April/May) and fall (September/October) demand, availability tightens quickly. Booking 3–5 days ahead is recommended when possible. Every quote request receives follow-up from a booking agent within the same business day.

Reserve a Landscape Dumpster in Denver

Landscape projects are time-sensitive: A fall cleanup delayed by a week means loading wet leaves in the snow, and a spring project delayed means missing the planting window. Humpty Dump’s same-business-day quote response and flat-rate weekly pricing takes the timing risk out of the project.
